Why We Do it


Chompadoodle was created because of the personal experiences of the founders to try to find good information about the food they and their families were eating. Our CEO's son was diagnosed with Celiac Disease at age 1, and had to follow a strict gluten free diet. It was incredibly difficult to find the right level of customized information. The founders’ vision was that it should be as easy as pointing your phone at given food and immediately getting back an indicator on whether or not you could eat it. The criteria could be as diverse as gluten free, vegan, low sodium, or any other categorization or combination of these that you care about.

Consumer’s heighted awareness of what’s in their food and where it comes from is undoubtedly rising; be it because of an interest to eat healthy, allergies, or something unique to the individual. There is a clear gap in the level of information that’s available and the amount of information that consumers want. Chompadoodle's aim is to address this gap and provide our customers with the food information they need, when and where they need it.
